There have been some nice tournaments the last couple months – Team Teague Invitational, G3 Invitational, Bullseye Series, Never Walk Alone and more. Here are some young players that are giving it to teams:

Contrevion Martin, Wing, Team Teague 2026
Martin is one of the best long term young players I have seen. He’s got a great looking shot and good length. He’s a big reason why Teague has won multiple championships and had only one loss.

Azavier Robinson, Point Guard, George Hill All Indy 2024
Keep an eye out for Robinson as he heads to high school next year. One of the savviest Point Guards around and can score at will.

Jason Gardner II, Point Guard, Indiana Faith 2027
Gardner II is blazing fast and a blur in the open court. He is the best athlete I’ve seen at this grade level. It’s early but if he comes close to his Mr. Basketball winning Dad Jason Gardner, who played at Arizona and overseas, he is going to be a player.

Dooney Johnson, Shooting Guard, George Hill All Indy 2027
Johnson has a nice skill set already and is real slick with his dribble. He is also a good size for point guard.

Cooper Zachary, Combo Guard, Indy Premiere 2027
No matter who Zachary has played for this summer, one thing has been consistent: winning. Zachary has helped capture championships for Premiere, North Coast Blue Chips and Indiana Faith. He is one of the deadliest shooters in the class. Dad Danny (Anderson Highland) was runner-up for Mr. Basketball in the early 90s.

Jaylen Mitchell, Forward, Team Teague 2026 (2027)
Mitchell plays up with Teague 2026 but he is actually 2027. He is about 5’10” already with skill. Look for him to be a top player later on, and he’s currently one of the best at the grade level.

Devon Colbert, Point Guard, Indy Premiere 2027
Colbert may have the best handle of ANY young player I have seen. It is hard saying elite for such a young player, but he fits the closest. Really skilled young player.

Marshawn Cocroft, Point Guard, Western Suburbs Elite 2025
Cocroft made the biggest plays down the stretch in Western Suburbs Elite’s championship win over George Hill All Indy at the Team Teague Invitational. He nailed a late 3 and scored the game winner and a sweet move to the rim for a layup.
