Top PG Marquis Clark made sure to have a big hand in who would win Prep Ball Stars Midwest Challenge. Clark started the day leading his Team Illinois group to an upset win over Team Indiana 95-85.
Clark lead Team Indiana with 18 points and 8 assists. It is only the secons loss all time for Indiana, and they had won the event since 2021.Not this year.
In the championship game, Clark was even more lethal on his way to 26 points as Illinois pulled away from a game Team Michigna squad for a 93-74 victory.
“We knew Illinois had never won the event, and we wanted to change that”, said Clark.
Clark is the #1 rated player in Illinois and will head to Tennessee next month for his freshman year.
