Rising Stars – Boys Class 2018

Here are some more players that should be on the radar for some late offers:

Pictures from left: Tyrese Cobb, Makylin Brown, Ali Alquraishy, Xavier White

Tyrese Cobb //6’5″ Guard, Marion

I like this player a lot.  Real bouncy and active and always around the ball.  Long defender that really plays well in transition.  Definitely one to keep on the radar.

Makylin Brown //6’1″ PG, Scecina

Brown loves the big moment and hit a few game winners last year for Scecina.  Long build with good handles.  He could be in line for some late offers with a good senior season.

ali alquraishy // 6’9″ power forward, manual

Ali is long and lean right now but has the potential to be a player down the road.  He flashed that potential at the INTHEGYMHOOPS camp playing around the rim and running the floor.  But down the road is here with this, his senior.  Will make an imposing frontline with he and junior Jalen Johnson for Manual.

Xavier White //6’0″ Guard, Broad Ripple

White has a nice handle but what he excels at is shooting the basketball.  One of the best strokes in the state mid range and with 3s.  Should make Broad Ripple tough this year in its final season.

Christian Wells // 6’5″ Wing, Muncie Central

Wells could easily be in the Top 24 and could play his way there having a big senior.  He was one of the better players at INTHEGYMHOOPS Showcase and is a really crafty scorer.

kj coleman // 6’1″ point guard, tindley

Coleman can really shoot the ball and was a big factor for Tindley last year helping them to a state title. Look for an even bigger year this year playing with Hunter White and Eric Hunter.

chaz birchfield // 6’6″ Small Forward,hamilton southeastern

offers: kent state

Birchfield is an intriguing prospect. He gained his offer from Kent State playing up last summer and has turned some heads with his athleticism.  He will look to have an impactful season leading Hamilton Southeastern as a senior.

quinn moffitt // 6’1″ Shooting Guard, triton central

Moffitt is the best 3-point shooter in the class of 2018.  Moffitt demonstrated just that winning the 2016 INTHEGYMHOOPS Showcase 3-point shootout.  What he has to do his senior season is more off the dribble and put together even more consistent games with his shooting ability.

daniel carey // 6’5″ Shooting Guard, merrillville

Carey is an active, really athletic player who excelled at the INTHEYGYMHOOPS Showcase.  He played well around the rim and has a nose for the ball.  Top 20 performer at the camp.  Carey is looking to lead Merrillville back deep into the state tournament in March.

Anthony Barnard // 6’7″ Small Forward, Kokomo

Barnard has the size and length to make a difference for a program and has a soft shooting touch from the outside.  Committed to Purdue Northwest.

kobe clancy // 6’3″ Shooting Guard, scecina

Clancy is a good looking player who can shoot it well, defend and is very active.  He has had some big time moments with scoring playing AAU and playing in June for Scecina and looks poised for a breakout senior year.  I love his activity on the floor and is a great shot blocker for his position.

jonathan “jt” turner // 6’3″ combo Guard, heritage christian

Turner is an up and coming player who can play both guard positions.  Talented shooter with great size.

Rilee Epley // 6’5″ Shooting Guard, evansville day

Epley is a two-year varsity player with a 18.3 career average for Day. He is an active player who can rebound and defend.
